Want freshly popped popcorn in a flash? Try this easy stovetop technique! The resulting popcorn is light and crisp – all it needs is your signature popcorn seasoning. (We love nutritional yeast, paprika, and lots of salt, but tell us your faves in the comments below!)
Why shake the pan?
Shaking the pan allows unpopped kernels to sink to the bottom of the pan, where they can come into contact with heat and pop. The more you shake, the less unpopped kernels!
How much butter should I use?
For this recipe, we find that the typical movie theater options of "light", "regular", and "extra" butter can be recreated with with 1, 2, or 3 tablespoons of melted butter, respectively. Add as much as your heart desires!
