These air fryer kale chips are a super tasty way to start a healthy chip habit. They take just minutes to prepare and using your air fryer means less grease and guilt. Feel free to customize your chips with different herbs and spices—the possibilities really are endless. Out of parm? Omit the cheese and add nutritional yeast for a nutty, cheesy vegan alternative. Not a nutritional yeast ("nooch") convert yet? Try our vegan mac & cheese or vegan queso dip, and you’ll wonder how your kitchen has survived this long without it. No matter how you make them, these kale chips are so good they’ll fly out of the bowl every time.

Directions
- Step 1Tear kale leaves into large chip-sized pieces and transfer to a medium bowl. Drizzle with oil and lemon juice and toss to combine. Using your fingers, ensure each piece is lightly and evenly coated.
- Step 2Add Parmesan and toss to combine; season with salt and black pepper, then add any optional seasonings to taste. Toss again to combine.
- Step 3In an air-fryer basket, arrange kale in a single layer. Cook at 350° until edges are just starting to brown, 3 to 5 minutes. (The more delicate the kale variety, the quicker it will cook.) Transfer kale to a sheet pan and let cool in a single layer. Kale will continue to crisp as it cools.
