Pickled red onions are one of our favorite salad condiments here at Delish, so we felt compelled to share this super-simple, super-delicious treat with everyone. It is perfect for tacos, salads, even sushi! Besides being incredibly crunchy, its beautiful pink color adds a visual pop to any bowl it graces.
We love this recipe, not just because the resulting pickled onions are tart, crunch and maintain that bit of onion-y bite, but because its also customizable! You can add herbs, mustard seeds, garlic or chiles to put your own spin on this classic topping.
